1. Offshore Forecast Service

– Wind, Wave, Current and Tidal Prediction for a Single Location

Marine Data Group provides highly accurate wind, wave, current and tidal forecasts for the next 10 days on a hourly basis. Forecasts are based on the high-resolution global model (5-9km). Forecasts will be issued via email in PDF. We offer free trial for this forecast service.

You can receive these forecasts by simply sending an e-mail to info@marinedatagroup.com and fill in the subject as follows:

      • Latitude and longitude in decimals (you can find decimal example in google map as marked below)

      • Parameters you need (wind and wave are default; current and tide can be added on)

      • Number of times to be sent by day (default 2 times per day; possible to 3 or 4 times per day.)

      • Tropical storm warnings are also available if required.

2. Metocean Data and Analysis

Marine Data Group provides wind, wave, current and tidal data and analysis with hourly hindcast data (20-30 years). Historical data can be retrieved on request.  Wind and wave data are all calibrated and validated against satellite measurements. Dependent on the project, standard report and data can be delivered within 2 weeks or less.

Beyond metocean data, we offer detailed metocean analysis for your offshore design, construction and operation projects. Extracted site specific data can be used for time series analysis techniques such as joint probability or extreme value analysis.

These data can also be used for time domain analysis for analytical techniques such as persistence and workability analysis. We have the expertise to provide the right kind of data analysis for your projects.

Here are the metocean data and analysis we can provide:

      • Validated 20-30 years hindcast metocean data (wind, wave, current, tide etc.)

      • Tropical storms analysis based on history

      • Average climate analysis per month or direction 

      • Extreme climate analysis with associated return periods
